About us.

Founded by Major Mathis in 2015 as a training brokerage company, Black Company Tactical Group LLC (BCTG) was originally established to help law enforcement, as well as other public safety entities, accomplish the training and continuing education they needed to stay the tip of the spear. After a few years, the company transformed into a consulting role. During this time, BCTG began operation as a private military contractor, with personnel in theaters in Africa, Central America, South America, and Mexico. As end users, the deficiencies between what companies wanted to sell and what end users needed became very apparent.

After COVID brought world travel to a halt, BCTG switched focus. Instead of being full-time end users, the company transitioned, once again, into representing manufacturers of items for use in the public safety sector, with one goal – offer only top-of-the-line products, with strong reputations, as honestly as possible. If you don’t need it, we aren’t interested in selling it to you. Even if we represent the manufacturer, we’ll tell you it’s a product not worth having.
